Commonly called a copper beech, its got the most attractive shiraz wine coloured foliage over the spring-autumn period of the year- even in the winter when its deciduous it still looks very cool with the bare branching. I envisage these would look amazing leading up both sides of a natural stone path leading towards a schist stone house in the Queenstown region / very easy to keep at the desired size because they are not vigorous growing!!
