These maples have attractive deepest maroon/ burgundy foliage, with espaliered specimens you could look to planting in front of an authentic bamboo fence, or in fact any unused wooden fence, its just that you would need to have it sheltered behind a prevailing fenceline from the wind, this particular maple looks so so cool with its foliage changing with each of the four seasons, and they even provide so much character with their bare branching in the winter, very easy to keep clipped into this espaliered shape! Perfect for along a fenceline, in a large pot on a deck, or situated in front of a wall between two windows.
