A native totara from Japan/China regions, so very tough to all the weather elements.
I love to use this plant in my landscaping because its extremely reliable/quite slow growing-but this is a positive because it means less trimming to keep it in shape. These have been created on a single stem to be ideal for a narrow position say directly in front of a narrow pillar or either side of an entranceway where we can use height but not width, I have them in varying heights and varying number of balls on the central leader, the new growth comes out as a much lighter green /when in this mode the topiary looks exceptionally attractive.
